A great philosopher (E.W. Beauregard) once said, "The last Great Frontier is communication."  That will always be true. My effort and members of the Board is to communicate with all members to the best of our ability. (We are still waiting for the new newsletter editor to start publishing)

 

  1. Monday is the last day for crew chiefs to fill open positions. Paul Caldera and Bob Hernandez will have for the most part non crew members. They will be evaluating and sharing their observations with these members.
  2. Ric Nichols and the members of his rating committee will have their second formal meeting next week. I believe you will be pleased with their program.
  3. Jeff Roberts has formed a "Mentor Committee" and will present to the Board their program at our next meeting.
  4. Paul Caldera has had two "FILM" training sessions and two more are scheduled. George Patton once said, "One look is worth a 1,000 reports." Paul's film classes are presented in a way to make us more knowledgeable and not to embarrass anyone. TO ME, EVERYONE CAN BENEFIT BY WATCHING THESE FILMS. If your schedule permits and you want to be a more knowledgeable official, I encourage you to attend the two April meetings.
  5. It is in the preliminary stages (I just finished all the stuff I had to do for getting my taxes done) Jim Osborn, Paul Caldera and yours truly will have a program for new crew chiefs and non crew white hats. The title will be DOR or ROD (don't want any Rod's to think this is named for them). DUTIES - OBLIGATIONS - RESPONSIBILITIES of a crew chief.
  6. RED HEADED STEP CHILD - RED THE THIRD  (Mod Vega)

    2. When: Wednesday, April 16th, 2008. 6:30 PM
    3. Place: Newport Rib Company - Harbor Blvd., Costa Mesa
    4. Fran Ursini will provide a buffet style dinner at a very reasonable price. I need to let Fran know the number to plan for by Monday, April 14th.
