Week 6 Notes

Coaches:

• Remember to go to our website www.ocfoa.org and click “OCFOA Coaches Cards” to rate the officials of varsity games as well as notify us of any game concerns under “Comments” in the “OCFOA Coaches Cards”. If the problem is an isolated issue, we will call the individual crew or official involved. If the problem seems to be a trend, we will include it in the Weekly Notes.
• If you don’t inform us of a problem, we can’t help you. Please help us help you.

Officials:

• For those officials working college games, have a “go to” person for penalty enforcements. Many coaches watch college games on television and will, at times, want the college enforcement. Please be careful. It is easy to mix up the rules in the heat of battle. Newer officials, you may be the one who saves the crew so don’t be afraid to speak up.
• Remember to ask before kickoff if the teams have overtime in varsity games.
• League play has started. Be aware that the games have added meaning to the teams.
